  • Commercially lead recovery of a start up business with low morale, rock bottom commercial reputation and nonexistent brand

  • Increased sales > 10 fold from < 400 kgs to >4000 kgs/week

  • Significant increase in channel (1 to 4) and retailer (1 to 6) distribution working both directly with customer and through partners

  • Re-launched and repositioned New Forest Barramundi brand to become recognised and respected as Pioneering and "The Best Model" of launching new Species Brand in UK/EU.

  • Introduced added value product and formulated strategy to move up the value chain.

GEEST PREPARED FOODS: MANAGING DIRECTOR

July 1985 - October 2006

  • 20 years at GEEST developing a leading edge fresh food business working with Gareth Voyle and the GEEST management board.

  • Growth from c.£20m to £1,100m.

  • Variety of Commercial,Marketing and new business development roles ending as Managing Director at Geest Fresh Foods.

  • Ran £80m t/o operation across 3 business units (3 significant strategic investments [2 builds and 1 acquisition] supplying Waitrose, Morrisons (Safeway) and foodservice. High growth model, 20% p.a.

  • Developed and led an excellent Divisional team (7 Managers) delivering growth of sales + 40% and net profit +50% and the business with the best net profit% and ROCE in Geest.

  • Became No.1 "Model" Fresh Food supplier for the customer with dominance in all categories supplied.

  • Supply Chain Management: driver and founding member of Waitrose Supplier Partnership Executive . Delivered multi million pound savings.
